After days and days of tinkering with the look and feel of this site, I got down to finally writing something. Let's make one thing perfectly clear from the start... I am not, by any means, a writer, so don't expect much. In fact, I really hate to write. Just ask any teacher I ever had.
So why am I doing this? Well, I want to share my experiences, set backs, accomplishments, disappointments and discoveries on my journey to artistic famedom (is that a word?) My hope is that if I can commit myself to keeping this blog pretty much up to date, then it will give me an added incentive to continue to learn and improve my artistic ability.
As stated in my Welcome message...This site will focus mainly on Matte Painting, Illustration and Concept Art. My goal is to someday be creating digital artwork and CG environments for film, television, commercials, print and interactive media. I will be posting all my work, good and bad. Everything is open to critique and all constructive feedback is certainly encouraged.
Hopefully, this web site will serve as both a personal portfolio and resource for other aspiring artists.
Soooooooooooo............................................
Let's get it started (ha), let's get it started in here.
Let's get it started (ha), let's get it started in here.
Let's get it started (ha), let's get it started in here.
Let's get it started (ha), let's get it started
(woah, woah, woah) in here.
Yeah.
Welcome to Ventana Studios OnLine.
Originally, the focus of this site was to be centered mainly around Matte Painting, Illustration and Concept Art. At the time, my goal was to someday be creating digital artwork and CG environments for film, television, commercials, print and interactive media. It soon became apparent that I would need a better foundation in traditional arts if I wanted to be successful in that field. I have temporarily shifted my focus and am currently concentrating on the basics. The site will now focus on those efforts and whatever it is I'm working on at the time.
Hopefully, this website will serve as both a personal portfolio and resource for other aspiring artists.
